First Wax?
Does a Brazilian wax hurt?
It’s completely normal to be nervous before your first Brazilian wax! While everyone’s pain tolerance is different, you can expect some brief discomfort during the service. The good news is that each pull only lasts a second, and most clients are surprised it’s much more manageable than they expected. With regular waxing, your appointments typically become quicker and more comfortable over time.
How long should my hair be?
Hair should be about 1/4 inch long (about the length of a grain of rice) for the best results. This is typically 2-3 weeks of growth after shaving.
Can I get waxed while on my period?
Yes! Just wear a fresh tampon or menstrual cup. Keep in mind you may be a little more sensitive during your cycle.
What should I wear?
Loose, comfortable clothing is best. Cotton underwear and loose-fitting bottoms help reduce irritation after your appointment.
How long does a Brazilian wax take?
Most appointments take 15-20 minutes.

Before Your Appointment
Please Avoid:
- Retinol, tretinoin, or exfoliating acids (AHAs & BHAs) on the treatment area 5-7 days before your appointment
- Sunburns or tanning before your wax. Your skin has a higher chance of lifting if the skin is compermised
- Shaving immediately before your appointment. Your hair needs enough length for the wax to grip.
How to Prep:
- Make sure hair is at least 1/4 inch long
- Gently exfoliate 24-48 hours before your appointment
- Wear comfortable clothing
- Drink plenty of water
- Take over-the-counter pain reliever 30 minutes before appointment if needed
